Polykeramoplast (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene)

MATERIAL DESCRIPTION

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) -polyethylene with a molecular weight of more than 1.5 * 106 g / mol. The ultra-high molecular weight of this polymer determines its unique physical and mechanical properties, which sharply distinguish it from all other brands of polyethylene. UHMWPE has high strength and toughness in a wide range of temperatures, from -200 to +100 C, very high chemical resistance to aggressive media, high light resistance, high slip properties, high wear resistance. 

APPLICATION

It is widely used in mechanisms subject to a high abrasion, including:

• Gears, bushings, guides, bump stops, etc.
• In the chemical industry for lining containers, pipes, for transporting abrasive and aggressive materials, taps, valves, gate valves, etc.
• In the mining industry for lining buckets of excavators and loaders, dump truck bodies, wagons, dumpcars, receiving bunkers, loading chutes, etc.

ADVANTAGES

• Increased stiffness and extremely high impact strength.
• Increased resistance to abrasion (high wear resistance).
• Low coefficient of friction (adhesion), comparable to the coefficient of friction for fluoroplastics. Allows you to eliminate all problems associated with the freezing and freezing of bulk materials in the cold season. Lined machinery does not require cleaning from frozen / adhered material. The service life depends on the transported material and is at least 1-2 years.
• High resistance in aggressive environments (corrosion resistance) and increased resistance.
• The possibility of operation at low temperatures (high frost resistance).
• Zero water absorption.
• Ease and simplicity of installation with the help of welding washers or screws – screws, fixing anchors or studs.
